Arlanda Express (High-Speed Train)
The Arlanda Express is the fastest option, connecting the airport directly to Stockholm Central Station in just 18 minutes. Trains run every 10–15 minutes from 05:40 to 23:05. A single ticket costs approximately SEK 340 (approximately $32). Tickets can be purchased online, at information desks, or at ticket machines on the platform. The train stops at both Arlanda South (Terminals 2, 3, 4) and Arlanda North (Terminal 5).
Commuter Trains (SL)
The SL commuter trains connect Arlanda Central Station (in SkyCity) to Stockholm Central Station in about 43 minutes. Trains depart twice per hour. A single ticket costs approximately SEK 160 (approximately $15), including the Arlanda surcharge. This is a cheaper alternative to the Arlanda Express, though with a longer journey time.
Flygbussarna Airport Coaches
Flygbussarna operates three lines connecting the airport to Stockholm City Terminal (next to Central Station), Liljeholmen, and Brommaplan. Buses run every 15–30 minutes. The journey to City Terminal takes 35–45 minutes. Fares start from SEK 149 (approximately $14). All buses offer free Wi-Fi.
Flixbus
Flixbus also operates services between Arlanda and Stockholm C, as well as other destinations in Sweden. Fares start from SEK 99 (approximately $9). Buses run several times daily.
Taxi
Official taxis are available 24/7 outside the Arrivals hall of each terminal. The journey to Stockholm city centre takes about 40 minutes depending on traffic and costs approximately SEK 600–800 (approximately $57–76). Taxi fares in Sweden are not regulated, so prices may vary between companies. It is recommended to use well-known companies such as Taxi Stockholm, Taxi 020, or Taxi Kurir.
