Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (IATA: CDG, ICAO: LFPG), also known as Roissy Airport, is the largest international airport in France and the second-busiest airport in Europe after London Heathrow (LHR). Located about 25 km northeast of Paris in the commune of Roissy-en-France, CDG is the main hub for Air France (AF) and a key base for easyJet (U2), Transavia (TO), and several other carriers.

Terminals
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport operates three passenger terminals — Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 3 — with Terminal 2 further divided into seven sub-terminals. All terminals are connected by the free CDGVAL automated shuttle and the RER B train.
Terminal 1 is the iconic circular building designed by Paul Andreu and is primarily used by Star Alliance members, including Lufthansa (LH), United Airlines (UA), Air Canada (AC), and Turkish Airlines (TK). It was the original terminal of the airport and remains a striking architectural landmark.
Terminal 2 is the largest terminal complex, divided into seven sub-terminals (2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F, and 2G). Terminal 2E is the main hub for Air France (AF) and its SkyTeam partners, including Delta Air Lines (DL), KLM (KL), and Korean Air (KE). Terminal 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D handle a mix of international carriers, while Terminal 2F serves Air France (AF) European flights and selected international routes. Terminal 2G is a dedicated terminal for regional Air France (AF) flights.
Terminal 3 is the smallest and is primarily used by low-cost carriers, including easyJet (U2), Transavia (TO), and some charter operators. It is located near the Roissypôle business district and is connected to the other terminals by the CDGVAL shuttle.
The CDGVAL automated shuttle runs every 4 minutes between all terminals, parking areas, and the RER/TGV train stations. Journey time between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 is about 8 minutes. The RER B train also connects the terminals to Paris and to each other.
The minimum connection time at CDG is 60 minutes for most transfers within the same terminal, and 90 minutes for transfers between different terminals.

RER B Train
The RER B suburban train connects CDG to Central Paris, with stops at Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame, and Denfert-Rochereau. Trains run every 6–15 minutes from around 04:50 to 23:50. The journey to Châtelet-Les Halles takes about 35–45 minutes. A single ticket costs approximately €11.80. This is the fastest and most reliable option for reaching the city.
RoissyBus
The RoissyBus is a direct shuttle bus connecting CDG to the Opéra Garnier in Central Paris. Buses run every 15–20 minutes from 05:15 to 00:30. The journey takes about 60 minutes. A single ticket costs approximately €16.50.
Le Bus Direct
Le Bus Direct operates several routes from CDG to key destinations in Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, Gare Montparnasse, and Gare de Lyon. Buses run every 20–30 minutes. Fares start from €18. This option is convenient for passengers staying in specific areas of the city.
TGV High-Speed Rail
The TGV high-speed train connects CDG directly to several French cities, including Lyon, Marseille, Lille, Bordeaux, and Strasbourg, as well as Brussels and other European destinations. The TGV station is located within Terminal 2.
Taxi
Official Paris taxis are available 24/7 outside the Arrivals hall of each terminal. A fixed-rate fare applies to Central Paris: €56 for the Left Bank and €65 for the Right Bank. The journey takes 30–60 minutes depending on traffic. Only licensed taxis should be used.
Ride-hailing
Uber, Bolt, and FreeNow operate at CDG. Pick-up zones are clearly marked outside each terminal. Prices are usually similar to taxis but can be higher during peak hours.
