Transportation
Václav Havel Airport Prague is well connected to Prague city centre and the surrounding region through several transport options. The airport is located about 15 km west of Prague.
Bus
Several bus routes connect the airport to Prague’s metro network. Bus 119 runs to Metro A station Nádraží Veleslavín, and Bus 100 runs to Metro B station Zličín. Both take about 15–20 minutes. Bus 191 connects to the city centre and other areas. Fares are integrated with the Prague public transport system: a 90-minute ticket costs CZK 40 (approximately $1.70), and a 30-minute ticket costs CZK 30. Tickets can be purchased via the PID Lítačka app or at ticket machines.
Airport Express (AE)
The Airport Express bus connects the airport directly to Prague Main Railway Station (Hlavní nádraží). Buses run every 15–30 minutes from 05:30 to 22:00. The journey takes about 35–45 minutes. A single ticket costs CZK 100 (approximately $4.30). This is a convenient option for passengers continuing their journey by train.
Taxi
Official taxis are available 24/7 outside the Arrivals hall of both terminals. A journey to Prague city centre takes 20–30 minutes depending on traffic and costs approximately CZK 500–700 (approximately $21–30). Only licensed taxis should be used. Ride-hailing services like Uber and Bolt are also available and are usually slightly cheaper.
Ride-hailing
Uber and Bolt operate at PRG. Pick-up zones are clearly marked outside each terminal. Prices are similar to taxis but can be higher during peak hours.
Private Transfer
Book a driver in advance for a stress-free arrival. Prices start from CZK 600 for a sedan, including meet & greet in the arrivals hall. Popular with families and business travellers.
