Podgorica Airport (IATA: TGD, ICAO: LYPG), also known as Golubovci Airport, is the primary international airport serving Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. Located about 11 km south of Podgorica city centre in the town of Golubovci, TGD is the larger and busier of the two international airports in Montenegro, the other being Tivat Airport (TIV) on the Adriatic coast.
Opened in 1961, Podgorica Airport has grown to become Montenegro’s main international gateway for the central and northern parts of the country. It operates a single, modern passenger terminal that was extensively renovated and expanded in 2006, with further upgrades planned as part of Montenegro’s aviation development strategy. The airport also has a dedicated cargo area and is connected to Podgorica by bus, taxi, and ride-hailing services.

Bus
A public bus connects Podgorica Airport to the city centre and the main bus station. Buses run every 30–60 minutes from early morning to late evening. The journey to the city centre takes about 20–25 minutes. A single ticket costs approximately €1.00–2.00 and can be purchased from the driver.
Taxi
Official taxis are available 24/7 outside the Arrivals hall. The journey to Podgorica city centre takes 15–20 minutes depending on traffic and costs approximately €12–18. Only licensed taxis should be used. Unofficial drivers sometimes solicit arriving passengers inside the terminal — these should be declined.
Ride-hailing
International ride-hailing services such as Uber and Bolt are not widely available in Montenegro. Local taxi apps and traditional taxis are the primary alternatives for private transport.
