Getting from VIE to the City

A single ticket costs approximately €14.90 (or €24.90 for a round trip). The CAT also offers flight check-in and luggage services at Wien Mitte.
S-Bahn Line S7
The S-Bahn line S7 connects the airport to Vienna’s main railway stations, including Wien Mitte, Praterstern, and Floridsdorf. Trains run every 30 minutes and the journey to Wien Mitte takes about 27 minutes. A single ticket costs approximately €4.60 (or €2.40 with a valid Vienna city ticket). This is a cheaper alternative to the CAT.
Railjet & Long-Distance Trains
Vienna Airport is also connected to Austria’s long-distance rail network, with direct Railjet services to destinations such as Salzburg, Linz, and Innsbruck, as well as international destinations including Budapest, Prague, and Bratislava.
Bus
Several bus companies connect the airport to Vienna city centre and other locations in Austria, including Vienna Airport Lines (VAL). Buses run every 20–30 minutes and fares start from €8. The journey to the city centre takes 20–40 minutes depending on traffic.
