Air France (AF)

Air France (IATA: AF, ICAO: AFR) is the flag carrier of France and one of the largest airlines in Europe. Founded in 1933, the airline is headquartered in Tremblay-en-France, near Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), and operates from its main hub at CDG, with a secondary hub at Paris Orly Airport (ORY).

Air France is a founding member of the SkyTeam alliance, which was established in 2000 together with Delta Air Lines, Aeroméxico, and Korean Air. The airline operates a modern fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft, including the Airbus A220, A320 family, A330, A350, and Boeing 777 and 787 Dreamliner. It retired its Airbus A380 fleet in 2020 and is gradually modernising its long-haul cabins with new Business, Premium Economy, and Economy products.

Air France serves around 200 destinations across Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The airline is part of Air France-KLM Group, which also includes KLM, Transavia, and Transavia France. In 2024, Air France-KLM carried over 96 million passengers, maintaining its position as one of the world’s leading airline groups.

• Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) — AF’s largest hub and the primary gateway for long-haul and connecting traffic. Terminal 2E, 2F, and 2G are used by Air France and SkyTeam partners.
• Paris Orly Airport (ORY) — AF’s secondary hub, primarily for domestic and short-haul European flights. Operates from Orly 3 and Orly 4.

Additional focus cities include Lyon (LYS), Nice (NCE), Marseille (MRS), and Toulouse (TLS).

European routes include London (LHR), Amsterdam (AMS), Frankfurt (FRA), Madrid (MAD), Rome (FCO), Barcelona (BCN), and Milan (MXP). North American routes include New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), Chicago (ORD), Miami (MIA), Boston (BOS), San Francisco (SFO), and Montreal (YUL). Asian routes include Tokyo (HND, NRT), Seoul (ICN), Singapore (SIN), Hong Kong (HKG), Bangkok (BKK), and Beijing (PEK). Middle Eastern and African routes include Dubai (DXB), Doha (DOH), Beirut (BEY), Cairo (CAI), Johannesburg (JNB), and Dakar (DSS).
