King Khalid International Airport operates five commercial passenger terminals — Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, Terminal 4, and Terminal 5 — plus a Royal Terminal for state visits and VIP guests.
Terminal 1 is used mainly by domestic carriers, including Saudia (SV) and flynas (XY) on select domestic routes. It is connected to Terminals 2 and 3 by a free shuttle bus.
Terminal 2 is currently used for select international flights and seasonal services. Like Terminal 1, it is connected to the main terminal complex by a free shuttle bus.
Terminal 3 is the main international terminal, serving a wide range of international airlines including Emirates (EK), Qatar Airways (QR), Etihad Airways (EY), Turkish Airlines (TK), British Airways (BA), and EgyptAir (MS). It has a large duty-free area, multiple lounges, and a hotel.
Terminal 4 is primarily used by Saudia (SV) for select international and domestic flights. It has dedicated check-in areas and direct access to immigration.
Terminal 5, opened in 2016, is the newest and largest terminal, used by international carriers including British Airways (BA), Lufthansa (LH), Air France (AF), and KLM (KL). It has 16 gates, a large duty-free zone, and premium lounges. Terminal 5 is connected to Terminal 4 by a pedestrian walkway.
A free shuttle bus connects all terminals every 10–15 minutes. Passengers should allow at least 30–45 minutes for transfers between distant terminals, especially between Terminal 5 and Terminals 1 or 2. The minimum connection time at RUH is 60 minutes for most transfers.

Uber and Careem operate at RUH. Pick-up zones are clearly marked outside each terminal. Prices are similar to taxis but can be higher during peak hours. Ride-hailing is often the most convenient option for first-time visitors.
Public Bus
Public buses connect the airport to various areas of Riyadh. The SAPTCO Airport Bus service runs between the airport and the city centre, with fares from SAR 10–20. Buses are the cheapest option but have more stops and longer journey times.

Car Rental
