Vancouver International Airport (IATA: YVR, ICAO: CYVR) is the primary international airport serving Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and the second busiest airport in the country. The airport is located on Sea Island in Richmond, approximately 12 kilometres from downtown Vancouver, on the traditional unceded territory of the Musqueam people.

YVR is a major hub for Air Canada and a key gateway between the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region. The airport has three terminals: the Domestic Terminal, the International Terminal, and the South Terminal. The International Terminal includes a dedicated US Transborder area, where passengers complete US customs and immigration screening before departure.

In 2025, Vancouver International Airport set a new all-time record, welcoming nearly 27 million passengers, surpassing the previous peak of 26.3 million set in 2019. This represents a 2.7% increase year-on-year, with growth driven primarily by domestic and Asia-Pacific routes, which rose 15.6%. YVR was once again named Best Airport in North America at the 2025 Skytrax World Airport Awards and ranked 13th among the world’s best airports. This marks the 14th time in 16 years that YVR has received the Best Airport in North America title.
