Gimhae International Airport (IATA: PUS, ICAO: RKPK), also known as Busan Airport, is the primary international airport serving Busan, South Korea’s second-largest city, and the surrounding Gyeongnam region. The airport is located in Gangseo District on the western end of Busan, approximately 12–27 kilometres from the city centre.

Gimhae opened in 1976, replacing the older Busan Suyeong Airport, and was named after the nearby city of Gimhae. A new international terminal opened on 31 October 2007. The airport is a major hub for Air Busan and Korean Air, and an operating base for Jeju Air and Jin Air.

In 2025, Gimhae International Airport recorded its highest-ever annual international passenger traffic, surpassing 10 million international travellers for the first time. Total passenger traffic reached 16,949,787, comprising 10,502,346 international and 6,447,441 domestic passengers. International passenger numbers grew 16.7% year-on-year compared to 2024, and the airport ranked second in South Korea for international passenger volume after Incheon International Airport.

The airport features two concrete runways: Runway 18L/36R (2,743 m × 45 m), used for military purposes only, and Runway 18R/36L (3,200 m × 60 m). Gimhae Air Base shares the facility with the Republic of Korea Air Force, and photography or video of the apron, runway, and military stations is prohibited.
