Terminal Information at Incheon International Airport

Incheon International Airport operates two passenger terminals — Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 — connected by a free shuttle bus and the Airport Railroad Express (AREX). A dedicated boarding concourse is also connected to Terminal 1 by the underground “Starline” shuttle train.
Terminal 1 opened in 2001 and handles a large share of international carriers, including Asiana Airlines (OZ) until its planned transfer to Terminal 2, as well as most foreign airlines including Singapore Airlines (SQ), Cathay Pacific (CX), Thai Airways (TG), and Emirates (EK). It has 44 boarding gates and features a large duty-free area, multiple lounges, a spa, and a golf course.
Terminal 2 opened in 2018 and was expanded in 2024 with the completion of the fourth phase of construction. It is the main hub for Korean Air (KE) and its SkyTeam partners, including Delta Air Lines (DL), Air France (AF), and KLM (KL). Asiana Airlines (OZ) is scheduled to move to Terminal 2 on January 14, 2026. The terminal has 37 boarding gates and features a large duty-free area, multiple lounges, and a transit hotel.
The boarding concourse is connected to Terminal 1 by the Starline shuttle train and handles additional international flights. It has 30 boarding gates and features its own duty-free area and lounges.
The minimum connection time at ICN is 45 minutes for domestic-to-international transfers and 60 minutes for international-to-international transfers.

Baggage Claim
After landing, follow the Arrivals signs to passport control (for international flights) and then to the baggage claim area. Baggage belts are displayed on screens inside the terminal and on the live arrivals board above.

Getting from ICN to the City
Incheon International Airport is well connected to Seoul and the surrounding region through several transport options. The airport is located about 50 km west of Seoul city centre.
Airport Railroad Express (AREX)
The AREX connects Incheon Airport to Seoul Station in central Seoul. The **Express Train** is non-stop and takes about 43 minutes from Terminal 1 and 51 minutes from Terminal 2, with a one-way fare of 9,500 KRW. The **Regular Train** stops at major stations including Hongik University and Digital Media City, taking about 59–66 minutes, with fares from 4,150–4,750 KRW. Trains depart every 5–10 minutes from 05:30 to midnight.
Airport Bus
Airport limousine buses connect ICN to Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, and other areas of South Korea. Buses take 60–80 minutes depending on traffic and cost 5,000–15,000 KRW. Tickets can be purchased at designated ticket counters outside the passenger terminal or at the Terminal 2 Transportation Center (B1). Cash, T-money, and credit cards are accepted.
Taxi
Official taxis are available 24/7 outside the Arrivals hall of both terminals. The journey to central Seoul takes 60–80 minutes depending on traffic and costs approximately 60,000–100,000 KRW depending on the taxi type (standard, deluxe, or jumbo). Only licensed taxis should be used.
Ride-hailing
Uber and Kakao T operate at ICN. Pick-up zones are clearly marked outside each terminal. Prices are similar to or slightly higher than regular taxis.
Private Transfer
Book a driver in advance for a stress-free arrival. Prices start from 80,000 KRW for a sedan, including meet & greet in the arrivals hall. Popular with families and business travellers.
Car Rental
