Bahrain International Airport operates a single modern passenger terminal that opened in January 2021, replacing the older terminal building. The new terminal is designed around a central processing hall with four airside concourses — Concourse A, Concourse B, Concourse C, and Concourse D — connected by a central hub.
Concourse A and Concourse B are the primary concourses and serve most international flights, including those operated by Gulf Air (GF), British Airways (BA), Lufthansa (LH), and Air France (AF). They feature a large duty-free area, multiple dining options, and several lounges, including the Gulf Air Falcon Gold Lounge.
Concourse C handles select regional and low-cost flights, including some services by flydubai (FZ) and other low-cost carriers. Concourse D is used for seasonal and charter services.
The terminal has an initial annual capacity of 14 million passengers and can be expanded to 24 million in future phases. It also features a 4-star airport hotel, a spa, and a transit area for connecting passengers. The minimum connection time at BAH is 60 minutes for most transfers.

Getting from BAH to the City
Bahrain International Airport is well connected to Manama and the rest of Bahrain through several transport options. The airport is located on Muharraq Island, about 7 km northeast of Manama city centre, and is connected to the mainland by the Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway.

Official taxis are available 24/7 outside the Arrivals hall of the new Passenger Terminal. The journey to Manama city centre costs approximately BHD 4–6 (approximately $11–16) and takes 20–30 minutes depending on traffic. A flat-rate airport taxi service is also available. During peak hours, allow extra time for the journey.
Ride-hailing
Uber and Careem operate at BAH. Pick-up zones are clearly marked outside the terminal. Prices are similar to taxis but can be higher during peak hours.
Public Bus
Public buses operated by the Ministry of Transportation connect the airport to various parts of Bahrain. Bus routes A1 and A2 serve the airport, with fares from BHD 0.300 (approximately $0.80). The journey to Manama takes about 30–45 minutes depending on traffic.
