Calgary International Airport (IATA: YYC, ICAO: CYYC) is the primary international airport serving Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and the main gateway to the Canadian Rockies. The airport is located approximately 17 kilometres northeast of downtown Calgary and serves as a major hub for WestJet, which operates its primary base at YYC.
YYC is the fourth busiest airport in Canada by passenger traffic and the largest airport in the prairie region. The airport operates one main passenger terminal building divided into four concourses: Concourse A (domestic, primarily WestJet), Concourse B (domestic, Air Canada and regional carriers), Concourse C (US transborder), and Concourse D (international). All concourses are connected within the same terminal complex, with walking times of 10–15 minutes between some gates, especially in Concourse D.
In 2026, WestJet launched service from Calgary to São Paulo, Brazil, marking the airline’s 100th non-stop destination from YYC. This is the only non-stop flight between Western Canada and South America, operating three times weekly aboard WestJet’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner starting November 8, 2026.
