Penang International Airport (IATA: PEN, ICAO: WMKP) is the primary international airport serving Penang, a state on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The airport is located in Bayan Lepas, approximately 16 kilometres south of George Town, the capital city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The airport serves as a key gateway to the Northern Region of Malaysia and connects Penang with major cities across Southeast Asia. It is the third busiest airport in Malaysia by passenger traffic, after Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Kota Kinabalu International Airport. Penang International Airport is operated by Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB).

The airport features a single integrated terminal building that houses both domestic and international operations under one roof. The terminal was expanded in recent years and has 12 boarding bridges and 11 gates. The airport currently has a capacity of 6.5 million passengers per year, but a major expansion project is underway to increase this to 12 million passengers by 2028.

In January 2026, Penang International Airport recorded 772,000 passengers, a 12.2% increase compared to the same period the previous year.
