Harry Reid International Airport (IATA: LAS, ICAO: KLAS) is the primary international airport serving Las Vegas, Nevada, and the surrounding Clark County region. Located approximately 2 miles south of the Las Vegas Strip, the airport is owned and operated by the Clark County Department of Aviation.
The airport was originally known as McCarran International Airport, named after Nevada Senator Pat McCarran, and was renamed in 2021 in honor of former U.S. Senator Harry Reid. LAS opened in 1942 and has grown into one of the busiest airports in the United States, covering 2,800 acres with two separate terminal buildings.
LAS serves as a focus city for Southwest Airlines and Spirit Airlines, and is a major destination for domestic and international carriers. The airport is one of only two airports in the United States with legalized gaming, featuring slot machines in the terminals.
In 2025, Harry Reid International Airport served nearly 55 million passengers, the third-highest annual total in the airport’s history. Domestic travel accounted for approximately 50.6 million passengers, while international travel totaled about 3.4 million. The airport offers more than 550 inbound flights per day with direct service to over 150 cities.
