Damascus International Airport (IATA: DAM, ICAO: OSDI) is the primary international airport serving Damascus, the capital of Syria. Located about 25 km southeast of Damascus city centre in the Ghouta area, DAM is the home base of Syrian Air (RB), the national carrier of Syria, and the main gateway to the country.
The airport opened in the early 1970s and has grown to become the busiest airport in Syria. It features three passenger terminals, two runways, and a large duty-free area. The airport is a joint civilian and military facility. It operates 24 hours a day and can accommodate aircraft as large as the Boeing 747.
DAM connects to a limited but growing number of destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and Asia. Terminals

Terminal 3 is used for domestic flights and some charter operations. It also handles a portion of the airport’s growing passenger traffic during peak seasons.
A free shuttle bus connects all terminals. The minimum connection time at DAM is 60 minutes for most transfers. Passengers transferring between terminals should allow at least 30 minutes for the shuttle.

Damascus International Airport is connected to Damascus city centre and the surrounding region through several transport options. The airport is located about 25 km southeast of Damascus on the Airport Road.
Taxi
Official taxis are available 24/7 outside the Arrivals hall of each terminal. A journey to central Damascus costs approximately SYP 50,000–80,000 (approximately $4–6) and takes 30–45 minutes depending on traffic. Fares should be agreed upon before departure. US dollars are widely accepted.
Ride-hailing
Ride-hailing services are limited in Damascus. Local taxi services and private car hires are the primary alternatives. Travellers are advised to arrange transportation in advance through their hotel or a trusted local contact.
